Clarity Series: Session 4

Decision-Making & Procrastination:

Why Action Doesn’t Follow

Procrastination, Values & Decision Clarity

A focused session on why action doesn’t follow (even when the next step seems obvious) and how clarity returns when priorities and perception come back into alignment.

This session is free to attend

Woman Using Smartphone

There’s a particular kind of stuck that shows up here.

It’s not the kind where everything feels overwhelming or unclear.

And it’s not that you don’t know what to do.

It’s when something is actually quite obvious… and it’s still not moving.

You’ve thought about it. You might have made a plan around it. At some point you probably decided you were going to deal with it.

And then something else takes its place.

It gets pushed back, or softened, or quietly replaced with something easier or more immediate. You tell yourself you’ll come back to it when you’ve got more time, more energy, a better run at it.

But it keeps returning in the background, not resolved, just sitting there.

What’s easy to do at that point is make it about discipline. Or consistency. Or assume there’s something missing in how you’re approaching it.

Crossfit Class

But if you look across your life, that explanation doesn’t quite hold.

There are things you don’t delay. Things you don’t need reminding to do. Things you organise your day around without effort. You don’t need to motivate yourself into them. You just move.

So the difference isn’t your ability to act, it’s what you’re responding to.

Chefs in Kitchen

What this tends to show is not a lack of action, but a difference in priority and meaning.

When something is genuinely important to you, it doesn’t require the same kind of push. It finds its way into your day. You make room for it, even when there are other demands.

When something isn’t, or when it sits lower in your hierarchy, it becomes negotiable. It gets deferred. It competes with everything else and usually loses.

And sometimes the situation is a little more layered than that.

You might be dealing with something you believe you need to do, or should be doing, or that would make sense to do — but it’s not actually anchored in what matters most to you.

It’s come from somewhere else. An expectation, a comparison, a standard you’ve taken on.

That’s when things start to feel effortful.

Even when something does matter, the way you’re seeing it plays a role.

If the action carries more perceived downside than upside — more effort, more discomfort, more uncertainty — it’s very natural for it to be delayed.

Not because you’re avoiding action in general, but because you’re weighing something that doesn’t yet feel balanced.

So what gets labelled as procrastination is often a mix of a few things happening at once.

  • A lack of clear connection to what’s actually important to you.

  • An expectation that may not be fully yours.

  • And a perception of the action that makes it feel distorted.

From there, decisions don’t disappear — they just happen quietly.

You decide to leave it, to come back to it later, to do something else in the meantime.

Because those decisions aren’t grounded in clarity, they don’t resolve anything. The situation stays open, and you keep circling it.

In this session, we’ll look at that directly.

Not from the angle of trying to push through it, or build better habits around it, but by unpacking what’s actually driving it.

You’ll bring something real — something that hasn’t been moving — and we’ll work through a structured way of looking at it so you can see:

  • what genuinely matters to you in this situation

  • what may have been taken on from elsewhere

  • and how you’re currently perceiving the action itself

From there, things tend to shift in a very practical way.

Either the action becomes clearer and easier to move on, because it’s now aligned and meaningful.

Or it becomes obvious that it doesn’t need to be carried in the way it has been.

In both cases, the sense of being stuck starts to dissolve, because the underlying driver has changed.

The Experience

Over two hours, you’ll be guided through a structured reflective process grounded in the Demartini Method®. Not just as theory, but as something you actively work through.

We’ll take something real. An action you’ve been putting off, a decision that hasn’t translated into movement, or an area where things keep stalling.

And we’ll work through it step by step.

Not to push you into action, but to understand what’s actually shaping the delay, where the action sits in relation to your values, what may have been injected from outside expectations, and how you’re perceiving the task itself.

It’s about working with what’s actually there so your thinking becomes clearer, your priorities become more honest, and your action becomes more aligned.

As clarity returns:

  • things stop circling

  • decisions become cleaner

  • tasks either become meaningful or fall away

  • and movement begins to happen with less internal friction

You’re not being given motivation.

You’re learning how to see in a way that allows action to follow more accurately.

You’ll reconnect with:

  • A clearer understanding of why some things move and others don’t

  • A more honest relationship with your priorities

  • The ability to recognise when you’re acting from injected expectations

  • A practical way to work through delay without self-judgment

  • Greater trust in your own decision-making

  • A clearer sense of what actually matters

  • A more grounded way of moving forward

From that place, action doesn’t need to be forced.

It becomes easier to trust.

Who It’s For

This isn’t just for when you feel unproductive.

It’s for when:

  • You know what needs to be done, but still aren’t doing it

  • You keep delaying something that matters

  • You start things but don’t follow through

  • You feel pressure around certain tasks and not others

  • You’re telling yourself you “should” be doing something, but it still doesn’t move

  • Or when things technically look manageable, but action keeps stalling

There are times when the issue isn’t confusion. It’s that the action just doesn’t carry.

You go back to it.
You think about it.
You plan around it.
And still, it doesn’t move.

Not because you’re incapable, not because you’re lazy.
Just because something in the structure of it hasn’t been seen clearly yet.

This session is for that space. If you can sense that procrastination is telling them something, but haven’t yet been able to see exactly what.

For those ready to:

  • Understand why action isn’t following

  • Stop mistaking pressure for priority

  • Recognise where “shoulds” are distorting behaviour

  • Move out of delay and into aligned action

  • See tasks more honestly, not just reactively

  • Work with procrastination as feedback instead of failure

  • Let go of self-judgment around stalled action

  • Move forward with more clarity and less internal resistance

What You’ll Receive

🌀 A clearer understanding of what procrastination is actually showing you
You’ll learn how to read delay as feedback about values, perception, and priority rather than as proof that something is wrong with you.

🧩 A practical way to work through tasks that keep stalling
Instead of forcing action, you’ll learn how to look at what is and isn’t genuinely meaningful and what is shaping the resistance.

💡 Less internal friction around action
As pressure drops and clarity increases, tasks either become more workable or reveal themselves as not truly aligned.

🎯 More honest decision-making
Not pressured productivity. A clearer sense of what is yours to move on and what isn’t.

🧭 A method you can keep using
To bring yourself back to aligned action whenever you find yourself delaying, resisting, or circling the same thing.

This isn’t a one-off burst of motivation, but something you can return to whenever action stops following.

As priorities become clearer and perception settles, movement follows more naturally.

Join the Experience

This is a space to step out of delay and return to clear, grounded action.

Not by forcing yourself through it, but by seeing more accurately what’s shaping the hesitation, the avoidance, or the stall.

You’ll be guided, supported, and challenged where needed so you leave with a clearer sense of priority and a steadier way of moving forward.

From there:

  • Action becomes cleaner.

  • Decisions become easier to trust.

  • And what matters most starts to move.

It starts with seeing clearly.

If that resonates, you’re welcome to join us.
