WELCOME TO EQUILIBRATE
Maximizing human awareness and potential
Clear what’s occupying space, time and attention in your mind, so you can move forward with alignment and inspiration.
If an issue is looping in your mind (an individual, breakup, frustration, a decision, navigating uncertainty, fear, or an old story), we can dissolve the emotional charge so you can make decisions with clarity and certainty again.
Whether you're resolving the past or making forward-looking visionary, leadership or strategic decisions, the same structured process supports clearer prioritisation, communication and follow-through.
Sessions examine the perceptions shaping how you prioritise, respond, communicate and act so that decision-making, timing and follow-through are aligned with what matters most.
This is where you come to think more clearly under any condition.

This work meets you where you are, irrespective of what you’re navigating right now.
Whether you're:
• processing emotional charge, grief, trauma, anxiety or recurring patterns from the past
• clarifying direction during a life or professional transition
• refining your leadership, purpose, or next level of contribution
• or seeking greater perceptual accuracy in high-stakes decision-making
there are different ways we can work together depending on the depth and continuity required.
How this Works
Sessions use a structured sequence of questions to examine how current perceptions may be influencing emotional responses, communication and decision-making.
In a Forward Movement Session, this process is applied to equilibrate the emotional charge attached to a specific issue so that you can move forward with greater objectivity.
In a Bottleneck Breaker, questioning is used to identify the primary perceptual interference currently obstructing progress and clarify your highest-priority next step.
No balancing process is conducted in this session.

The following sections touches on commonly asked questions, outlines the structured process used in sessions and how it supports perceptual clarity, decision-making and aligned action.
What is the Demartini Method?
I’ve heard of the Demartini Method… but what actually is it? The Demartini Method is a structured questioning process used to examine how meaning has been assigned to an experience and to bring the unconcscious conscious so as to bring full conscious awareness to an event. Emotional reactions and judgements often arise when awareness becomes incomplete and attention is captured by selectively perceived advantages or disadvantages associated with an individual, event or decision. In session, specific questions are used to bring previously unconscious or omitted information into conscious awareness so that the perception can be seen more fully. As this occurs, the original interpretation tends to reorganise through cognitive reappraisal. The emotional charge associated with the story dissolves, and attention becomes less governed by automatic survival responses and more available for objective, value-aligned decision-making. Individuals often report not only greater clarity in behaviour and communication, but also shifts in inner state such as increased presence, appreciation, certainty and inspiration. The aim is not to remove experience, but to reveal a greater truth and integrate it so that awareness becomes more accurate and attention becomes available for creating, leading and acting in accordance with what matters most.
What exactly happens in a session?
Are we talking? Are you coaching? Do you lead or do I? Is this structured? Is there an outcome — or just insight? Sessions use a structured sequence of questions to examine how a specific perception is currently influencing your emotional responses, communication, and decision-making. In a Forward Movement Session, this process is applied to equilibrate the emotional charge attached to a challenge or issue until resolution so you can move forward with expanded awareness, greater meaning, appreciation, objectivity and clarity. In a Bottleneck Breaker, questioning is used diagnostically to identify the primary perceptual interference currently obstructing progress and clarify your highest-priority next step. No balancing process is conducted in this session. For more complex or interwoven situations, there are also ongoing packages available which allow us to work through multiple layers of perception across time, particularly where patterns are longstanding or impact several areas of life. Each session is guided toward examining how meaning has been assigned to a particular event, relationship, or decision, and where attention may have become fixed on selectively perceived advantages or disadvantages. As additional information becomes conscious, previously lopsided perceptions can be reintegrated. This allows emotional charge to dissolve and executive function to become more available for: •decision-making •prioritisation •planning •daily life action •communication •aligned follow through on what matters most As perception becomes more balanced, individuals often report shifts not only in practical clarity, but in their internal state, including: •gratitude •appreciation •enthusiasm •inspiration •presence •certainty •love •fulfillment The aim is not simply insight, but a shift in how attention is allocated so that next steps become clearer, follow-through becomes more consistent, and individuals are able to experience greater appreciation for themselves, others, and the circumstances of their life.
What kinds of challenges is this useful for?
Does this apply to my real life right now? Is this just for emotional challenges, or can it also support leadership decisions, business direction, relationship conflict, purpose confusion, procrastination, burnout, or strategic next steps? This work can be applied both to emotionally charged experiences from the past and to forward-looking decisions involving leadership, direction, or meaningful change. The sessions are structure to resolve perceptions that are currently interfering with clarity or action. This may relate to: • resentment or grief • relationship conflict • fear of loss or failure • guilt or self-judgement • procrastination • a recurring hesitation • a past event that still produces reaction The same process can also be applied to: • business or career decisions • leadership or team dynamics • strategic direction • navigating uncertainty • competing priorities • purpose or mission refinement • planning for expansion or growth As missing or unconscious information becomes conscious, previously one-sided or incomplete perceptions can be reintegrated. This allows attention to become less captured by emotional charge and more available for: • decision-making • prioritisation • communication • long-term planning • value-aligned action in daily life At the same time, individuals often report shifts in inner state including: • greater presence • certainty • appreciation • gratitude • enthusiasm • inspiration • and renewed connection to purpose The aim is not simply insight, but a shift in how attention is allocated, supporting clearer inspired action, and a more open-hearted appreciation for the complete experience.
How is this different from therapy or coaching?
Are you helping me: • vent about what’s going on? • think more positively? • get practical strategies? • be held accountable? • or work through emotions? In other words… is this therapy, coaching, or something else? Sessions may include elements that overlap with coaching, such as being heard in a non-judgmental space, examining patterns, developing strategy, and strengthening accountability. However, the session is not designed for story-processing or repeated narrative exploration. Its definitely not talk therapy! You are welcome to describe what is present for you initially. This allows us to gather the specific data required to identify where perception may currently be imbalanced. The story is heard only to locate the relevant perception. Once that perception has been identified, we do not return to the narrative. Instead, the session is guided toward examining how meaning has been assigned to the experience, and identifying information that may currently sit outside of conscious awareness. Through a structured sequence of questions, you are held accountable for accessing and articulating that information directly, bringing unconscious content into awareness so that previously one-sided perceptions can be reintegrated. As this occurs, the original interpretation reorganises spontaneously, without needing to be discussed further and the story is no longer relevant or true. Because sessions are not centred around narrative repetition, application tends to be both efficient and outcome-oriented. As omitted or unconscious information becomes conscious, the amygdala releases its hold on the story and executive function becomes more available for: • decision-making • prioritisation • communication • planning • and value-aligned daily action Individuals often also report shifts in inner state including: • presence • certainty • appreciation • gratitude • enthusiasm • inspiration • and a renewed connection to purpose The aim is not simply insight, but a shift in how attention is allocated, supporting clearer and aligned action and a more open-hearted appreciation of any experience.
What if I don’t know what the real issue is?
I just feel stuck, foggy, or overloaded but I can’t point to “the thing”. Do I need a neat story to work with you or is that workable? You do not need to arrive with a clearly defined issue. Many individuals seek support not because of one specific emotional event, but because something feels cognitively or strategically unclear. You may notice hesitation, mental looping, scattered priorities, difficulty deciding between options, or a persistent sense that forward movement is obstructed without being able to identify why. This is 100% workable. This is what I am here for. In these cases, we begin by examining where attention is currently being allocated, what feels out of place, and identifying any perceptual asymmetries that may be influencing how you are prioritising, responding, or making decisions. A Bottleneck Breaker Session is specifically designed for this. It is a short, diagnostic session used to identify the primary perceptual interference currently occupying working memory or distorting prioritisation. No balancing process is conducted in this session. Instead, we clarify: • what is actually capturing attention • where perception may be selectively weighted • and what the highest-priority next step is From there, you may choose to: • proceed with a Forward Movement Session to equilibrate the identified perception • or explore a package of sessions where multiple or more complex perceptual patterns are entangled As perceptual interference becomes conscious, individuals often report: • increased cognitive clarity • reduced mental noise • clearer prioritisation and alignment with what matters • greater availability for value-aligned daily action Shifts in inner state such as presence, certainty, appreciation, gratitude, enthusiasm and inspiration are also commonly experienced as attention becomes less captured by incomplete perception, and authenticity is regained. The aim is not to construct a better story about what is happening, but to clarify where attention is currently being captured and distorting awareness, then ask quality questions to bring full awareness to the situation so that clarity and inspired forward movement becomes available again.
How quickly can something shift?
Is this: • months of processing? • something I just understand better? • emotional relief that fades? • feel calmer? • make decisions? • stop looping on something? Is this months of work… or can something move in one session? A shift can occur the moment an originally one-sided perception becomes fully conscious. When you are able to see that an event, individual or decision contains just as many perceived upsides as downsides, or just as many perceived downsides as upsides, the original interpretation no longer holds the same neurological weighting. At that point, attention is no longer captured by the perception (and associated story), and the emotional charge associated with it dissolves in real time. This can occur within a single session and, in some cases, within minutes. Individuals often report that something they have been looping on for weeks or months is no longer occupying working memory in the same way once the perception becomes integrated. This may be reflected in: • relief and reduced rumination • clearer decision-making • behavioural follow-through • restored prioritisation • or the capacity to act on something that previously felt blocked As perception becomes more balanced, executive function becomes more available for: • planning • communication • timing of decisions • value-aligned daily action Individuals also commonly report a shift in inner state including: • presence • certainty • appreciation • gratitude • enthusiasm • inspiration • and a renewed connection to purpose The timing of this shift depends in part on willingness to engage with the structured questioning process. Strong attachment to a particular narrative, pride in an interpretation, or fear associated with relinquishing it may extend the time required to access the omitted information. However, where there is curiosity and accountability in answering the questions directly, perceptual integration may occur within the session itself. The aim is not simply insight, but a reallocation of attention that supports clearer, value-aligned action and a more open-hearted appreciation of experience.
Can this be used for future decisions, not just past events?
I’m not in crisis. I’m trying to: • lead a team • make a career move • plan something meaningful • navigate uncertainty • clarify my next direction Is this relevant for forward movement or only for resolving past emotional charge? Yes. The same perceptual imbalances that create emotional charge around past experiences can also influence how future decisions are evaluated. Unresolved perceptions often continue to occupy attention and working memory, shaping: • risk tolerance • timing of decisions • communication • prioritisation • willingness to act • or avoidance of specific directions This means that forward-looking decisions such as: • stepping into leadership • changing roles or direction • navigating strategic uncertainty • planning a meaningful next chapter • refining mission or contribution • managing competing demands may be influenced by perceptual associations formed around earlier experiences. In this way, work may proceed from the bottom-up, where an emotionally charged perception is equilibrated so that attention becomes available again. Or from the top-down, where a current or future decision is examined directly, allowing any perceptual distortions affecting clarity, confidence or timing to be identified and integrated. Sessions may therefore be applied to: Looping themes people bring • resentment, grief, guilt or self-judgement • fear of loss or failure • relationship conflict or breakup • stuck decisions or second-guessing • repeating patterns or emotional triggers Expansion themes people bring • leadership pressure or communication breakdown • prioritisation and competing demands • business direction or strategic clarity • values conflict within teams or partnerships • refining mission or next chapter decisions In both cases, the process examines how meaning has been assigned to an experience or anticipated outcome, allowing omitted or unconscious information to become conscious. As perception becomes more balanced, attention is no longer involuntarily captured by past associations, and executive function becomes more available for: • long-term planning • proportionate decision-making • communication • value-aligned action • and implementation of vision Individuals commonly report not only increased clarity in forward direction, but also shifts in inner state including presence, certainty, appreciation, enthusiasm, inspiration and gratitude This work may therefore support both the resolution of interference and the refinement of future direction.
What changes after perception becomes balanced?
In real terms… what actually changes? Do you: • stop reacting to the same triggers? • make clearer decisions without second-guessing? • communicate more directly? • feel less pulled by past experiences? • follow through more consistently? • prioritise what actually matters? What becomes different in behaviour, decision-making, or leadership once perception becomes integrated? Yes to all of the above! When perception becomes balanced, attention is no longer involuntarily captured by selectively perceived advantages (infatuations/prides) or disadvantages (resentments/shames) associated with an individual, event, memory or decision. This reduces the survival-based prioritisation generated by the autonomic nervous system and increases availability for executive function. Situations that previously occupied memory or emotional bandwidth no longer dominate attention, allowing planning, strategy, leadership and implementation to occur with greater continuity. As omitted information becomes conscious and previously one-sided perceptions are reintegrated, behavioural responses tend to become more aligned with highest values and longer-range objectives. Individuals also report shifts in inner state including greater presence, certainty, appreciation, gratitude, enthusiasm and inspiration. Experiences that previously felt disruptive are seen within a broader context, contributing to a greater sense of meaning and fulfilment. As this integration stabilises over time, individuals often notice: •expanded space and time horizons •greater authenticity in decision-making •increased consistency in action •more stable leadership capacity •clearer vision for meaningful contribution Behaviour becomes less governed by immediate emotional impulses, and increasingly directed by executive planning and value-aligned priorities. The aim is not to remove or accept experience, but to integrate it with full awareness and gratitude, so that attention becomes available for creating, leading, communicating and acting in accordance with what matters most.
Through precise facilitation, this work supports the dissolution of emotionally charged perceptions and restores access to executive function, allowing you to respond with greater presence, certainty, and aligned action in relationships, leadership decisions, and life direction.
When Perception Becomes Integrated
When a perception becomes balanced, the physiological stress response associated with it can settle.
As previously unconscious information becomes conscious, the nervous system is no longer reacting to a partial or asymmetrical interpretation of events. We are no longer reacting to a lopsided story.
Experiences that previously felt disruptive are seen within a broader context, contributing to an increased sense of meaning and fulfilment.
As interpretation becomes more objective, the executive centre of the brain is more available, often accompanied by a sense of poise, appreciation and purposeful engagement with life.
Many individuals report:
-
increased presence and emotional stability
-
greater appreciation for their life as it is
-
renewed enthusiasm for meaningful goals
-
clarity of vision and direction
-
improved signal-to-noise in decision-making
-
access to gratitude, love and inspiration
-
a greater sense of certainty in their actions
As a result, there is greater certainty in:
-
planning beyond the immediate moment
-
having leadership conversations without reactivity
-
following through on meaningful objectives
-
communicating priorities clearly
-
responding proportionately rather than impulsively
This shift is not produced through motivation or positive thinking, but through the reintegration of previously polarised perceptions. Situations that previously occupied emotional bandwidth no longer dominate attention.

Work Together Over Time
Some individuals choose to continue working together beyond a single session.
Ongoing mentoring packages and structured programs are available for those who wish to apply this work across multiple areas of life.
This continual work allows the structured questioning process to be applied across decisions, priorities and long-term objectives as they arise.
This may include:
• dissolving emotional baggage and the stories that distract from purposeful action
• clarifying values and recognising authentic priorities, purpose and direction and long term vision
• organising daily actions around mission and long-term direction
• planning strategies aligned with what you would love to achieve
• applying the process across the seven areas of life including:
-
health
-
relationships
-
career or business
-
financial planning
-
social contribution
-
mental capacity
-
leadership or influence
The same questioning process can also be applied proactively to strategic decisions, leadership responsibilities, creative expansion, and long-term goal setting.
Programs are designed for individuals seeking to integrate this work over time through facilitated application and structured inquiry.
